Armavir - a city in the south Of the Russian Federation, in the Krasnodar Territory. It is located in the east of the Krasnodar Territory, 202 km from Krasnodar and 1400 km from Moscow.
The historical part of Armavir is located on the arrow of the Kuban River, at the confluence of the mountain tributary Urup. Among the monuments of architecture and culture, one can distinguish churches, the building of the Tatar Mosque. In Armavir is the house-museum of Savva Dangulov, a Soviet writer, an honorary resident of the city, known for the works "Kuznetsky Bridge" and "Diplomats". On the territory of Armavir and in its surroundings, archaeologists are excavating the sites of ancient people belonging to different epochs of the Iron Age, exploring the mounds of the early Bronze Age.
